This notice describes what happens to the information you send through the two forms on this site — the consultant application and the project brief.

What we collect

What you type into a form, and the CV you attach to a consultant application. The consultant application collects your name, email address, discipline, years of experience, a free-text description of your projects, and your CV as a PDF or Word document. The project brief collects your name, organisation, work email, the support you need, a location and a free-text scope.

Your CV is sent to us as an email attachment and is not stored on this website or in any third-party database. It is held in our mailbox for as long as we are considering your application, and you can ask us to delete it at any time using the address at the end of this notice.

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and fonts are served from this domain rather than a third party, so browsing these pages sends nothing to anyone else.

Why we collect it

• To review a consultant application and come back to you about joining the network.
• To match a project brief to consultants and respond with a shortlist.

We do not sell this information, and we do not use it for marketing unrelated to your enquiry.

Who sees it

Submissions reach the OpenEng team. A consultant application is read by a senior peer in the relevant discipline as part of vetting. A project brief may be shared with the specific consultants being considered for your scope.

Who is responsible

The data controller is EYO Consulting, trading as OpenEng. This notice and any dispute arising under it are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

How long we keep it

Consultant applications, including the CV you attach, are kept for as long as you remain a candidate for work through the network, which in practice means indefinitely — a CV on file is what allows us to come back to you when a suitable project appears. Project briefs are kept for the life of the enquiry and any engagement that follows.

You can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time, and we will do so.

Your rights

Write to info@openeng.co to ask for a copy of what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted.
