Terms of use

These terms cover the use of this website. They do not cover any engagement between a client and a consultant in the network — that is governed by the contract agreed for the work itself.

The site

The material here is published for general information about the OpenEng network. It is not engineering advice, and nothing on it should be relied on for a design decision. The OpenEng Review excerpt shown on the home page is an illustration of the product’s output, not a review of a real structure.

Enquiries

Submitting a form does not create a contract or oblige either side to proceed. Indicative response times quoted on the site are targets, not guarantees.

No warranty and liability

This site is provided as it stands. We do not warrant that the material on it is accurate, complete or current, and we may change or withdraw any of it at any time without notice.

Nothing on this site is engineering advice and it must not be relied on for any design, construction or commercial decision. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site, from reliance on anything published on it, or from it being unavailable — including any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit and loss of opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Work carried out by a consultant in the network is not covered by these terms. That is governed by the contract agreed for the work itself, and any liability for it sits under that contract.

Intellectual property

The OpenEng name, logo and the content of this site belong to OpenEng. External standards referenced on the site — the BS 6349 series and the Eurocodes among them — remain the property of their publishers.

Who you are dealing with

This site is operated by EYO Consulting, trading as OpenEng. These terms, and any dispute arising under them, are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
